Tribal Policy Regarding the Protection of Certain Personal Information in approved Council Meeting Minutes and enacted Resolutions

At their June 21, 2008, Meeting, the Summit Lake Paiute Council ("Council") adopted an interim policy that some information contained in Minutes of Council Meetings and Resolutions (e.g., the names, dates of birth, and blood quantums of children seeking enrollment, health information that while mentioned should not be published, etc.) should be protected and not be available to the public but should be available to tribal members upon request.  Therefore, the notation "confidential" following the notice of tribal member access to approve Council Meeting Minutes and enacted Resolutions is notice to the public that the Minutes or Resolutions identified contain private information or private health information that the Council will not release to the public but which tribal members may request be mailed or emailed them.
