Cynthia, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "tourist friendly" areas. There are picnic areas just off the reservation. There's no fishing allowed in the Summit Lake Basin because, as the section on Lahontan cutthroat trout states, the trout is listed on the Endangered Species List as threatened because, historically, it was over fished. Please see the web site page Lahontan cutthroat trout. While you are free to look at any rock art of the Tribe's ancestors and fossils, theft would be prosecuted--after all these are important tribal resources, and what little the Tribe has left (yes, a lot of people have taken things without permission) we must protect. If you would like more info, email me: ron.johnny@summitlaketribe.org Sincerely, Ron Eagleye Johnny, Environmental Coordinator

Hello Just stopping by to say "Nice Job!" on the Web site after Mr. Johnny sent me the link. The site looks good and navigates well. And that's a BEAUTIFUL logo with the eagle in it. We'll be in touch soon regarding upcoming events and projects. With Best Regards, Steve Lasco, Lumos & Associates

My family will be coming out from Ballston Spa, NY in July and I was wondering do you have any tourist friendly areas on your reservation. For instance, picnic areas, areas to fish, fossil hunting areas for the boys? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you, Cynthia
